Munch on this Monday — How to make Paella

Tyler Perry shares his Ultimate PAELLA recipe and adds so much flare and excitement to the process of building a paella which originates from Spain.  After watching a few cooking shows I learned quickly that the PAELLA should be prepared in a traditional PAELLA pan.  I found my 16″ pan at Bed, Bath and Beyond for 19.99.  Tyler points out this dish is all about the preparation.  He wasn’t kidding!  It’s all worth the time, once you’ve organized your mission to this scrumptious meal.  I dove in with my kids as we all took part in cooking this dish for dinner.

Paella Dish

As a pescatarian, I prepared my portion in a typical saucepan.  When, and I say “when” because we will try this again I would prepare my Paella without the chicken and chorizo.  The next Paella in my family is a shrimp paella!  Yet everyone gave this dish a thumbs up, I found it very challenging with the variety of ingredients.
